Designed as a new residential district, the Quartier am Jagdschloss in the heart of Bickenbach offers modern living in a developed infrastructure. Historic town with a future

As a gateway to Bergstraße, the municipality of Bickenbach is located in the southern Hessian administrative district of Darmstadt-Dieburg – in the middle of the Rhine-Main and Rhine-Neckar metropolitan areas. The long history of Bickenbach, which was demonstrably part of the Roman province in the first three centuries AD and was first recorded in 1874, is still evident today. For example, the former hunting lodge of the Hessian Landgrave Ernst Ludwig, which saw Bickenbach gain importance in the 18th century, is now the town hall of the small town. The local history museum is located in the Kolbsches Haus, the oldest surviving building. Due to its location between the Rhine-Main and Rhine-Neckar metropolitan areas and its direct connection to the A5 federal motorway, Bickenbach has become a sought-after business location, where numerous medium-sized companies from both the craft and high-tech sectors have established themselves. The location on the Frankfurt-Main – Heidelberg railway line is also convenient for transport. The trains of the “Main–Neckar-Railway” connect Bickenbach with Darmstadt and Frankfurt, as well as Mannheim and Heidelberg. Public transport offers connections to the surrounding region with bus lines K50 and 669, as well as a late connection to Darmstadt via the 8N line. A popular place to visit, and much frequented, is the 10-hectare lake Erlensee on the northern outskirts of the city. Here, you can swim, fish or simply relax, go for a walk and enjoy nature.

Attractive countryside

Hiking and cycling through nature and history

Almost all the surrounding municipalities offer attractive historical sights – and many of them can even be discovered on foot. For example, after just a roughly 45-minute walk through the Bergstraße-Odenwald Geo-Nature Park, you can reach the castle ruins of Tannenberg or Heiligenberg Castle in the municipality of Seeheim-Jugenheim, which also has an open-air cinema and classic open-air concerts. Outdoor activities are, in general, very important in the region around Bickenbach – and plainly suggest themselves. Hiking and cycling routes, as well as guided tours, past picturesque places also offer a fitting program for families. Pfungstadt, located between Heidelberg and Frankfurt, also invites you to visit its historic small town in a picturesque landscape. Other destinations in the area include the unique Felsenmeer Odenwald, which is only about 10 km away, the Staatspark Fürstenlager, and the Wasserwerk Jägersburg Wildlife Park. Quicker to reach is Alsbach Castle, which is only about 4 km away in the municipality of Alsbach-Hähnlein. Not only does this offer some refreshments in the castle tavern, but also a breathtaking view from Melibokus over the surrounding neighboring villages. Numerous events, including the arts and crafts market at Pentecost, medieval markets and children’s knight festivals, celebrate tradition and history in the surroundings of the castle ruins.

Yes, the lease contract includes an index-linked rent. The rent is determined by the price index for the living expenses of all private households in Germany, which is determined by the Federal Statistical Office.

The deposit needs to be transferred to the landlord’s secure account according to § 551 Paragraph 2 BGB.
